River Island announces Design Forum collaboration with Liz Black
River Island has announced a collaboration with luxury womenswear designer Liz Black for its Design Forum initiative. The nine piece collection of ready-to-wear and accessories will launch via a short film directed by Mary Nighy at London Fashion Week’s Fashion Film event in September. The collection takes inspiration from Russian Princess Anastasia Romanova with a colour palette that ranges from black to midnight blue, with print in blues and greys. The collection goes on sale in selected stores in the UK and internationally and online in September 2014 with prices ranging from £30 to £100. The collection features big cuffs reminiscent of traditional Russian Muffs which adorn the sleeves of a contemporary coat, dresses with a corset silhouette, an oval clutch bag with a metallic cover, and sculpted separates in scuba, wool and leather.
