Makeup artist, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Bobbi Brown has partnered with Italian eyewear creator and worldwide distributor Safilo Group to launch a debut Bobbi Brown signature line of sunglasses and optical frames in the UK, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea. Bobbi Brown is the first make-up artist with a signature line of eyewear. Her goal in designing her eyewear collection is to teach women how to select frames that enhance their natural beauty and complement their skin tones and personal style. Bobbi Brown comments: “Being a beauty expert, I’ve always been aware of how glasses can transform the face and wanted to take the mystery out of how to choose the right glasses.” The Bobbi Brown eyewear collection was designed to mirror the iconic elements found in the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics line including: a Temple Tip, where each frame’s temple has a line recalling the gold stripe on Bobbi Brown lip colour; B hinge, a shape on each temple, named after Bobbi’s first initial; and metal plaque, similar to the metal look of Bobbi Brown mirrored compacts. The Bobbi Brown Eyewear collection, produced and distributed by Safilo Group, will be available from April 2015 exclusively at Liberty, followed by selected department stores and optical chains from May 2015.
