The finalists for the Scratch Stars Awards 2016 have been unveiled. The Scratch Stars Awards celebrates and recognise the efforts of technicians, salons, educators and bloggers in the UK nail industry. With a record number of entries for the 2016 awards, the finalists have been whittled down and revealed today, in these, the awards that represent sheer excellence, dedication and accomplishment within the industry. All finalists will compete in a second stage before the winner of each category will be announced on June 5 at a ceremony at Café de Paris. Finalists include Nail Stylist of the Year – Samantha Birkett-Leigh, Michelle Brookes, Hazel Dixon, Katie Barnes, Sammy Macdonald; Manicurist of the Year – Kirsty Algouneh, Marie-Louise Coster, Elise Scholes-Pilkington, Sarah Usher, Ilex Wood; Pedicurist of the Year – Katherine Drysdale, Shaunie Mulligan, Linzi Passmore, Sarah Usher, Ekaterina Zukiene; Session Stylist of the Year – Tinu Bello, Sabrina Gayle, Sophie Harris-Greenslade, Lyndsay McIntosh, Stephanie Staunton; and Services to the Nail Industry – Hazel Dixon, Kirsty Meakin, Gemma Lambert-Lewis, Ela Loszczyk, Denise Taylor. Winners of the The Tom Holcomb Shooting Star Award and Lifetime Achievement Award will be revealed at the awards party.
