Topshop and Topman set to open second largest flagship in New York
Topshop and Topman announces the opening of its second largest flagship store in the world on Fifth Avenue, New York, in fall 2014. The new Manhattan store will be located in the prime retail district of Fifth Avenue, on the corner of 49th Street, adjacent to the Rockefeller Center. The store will open in fall 2014, and several hundred new jobs will be created both within retail and new US Head Office operations based in New York. Full collections for both brands will be carried including collaborations, exclusives, trend-led mainline and full personal shopping services. Topshop and Topman will expand further within the USA with four further new store openings across the country – Topshop and Topman joint stores in Fashion Valley San Diego (17,500 sq foot), and a stand-alone Topshop in Springfield Town Center Washington (5,000 sq foot) in the fall of 2014 and Topshop and Topman joint stores in Galleria Mall Houston (16,500 sq foot) and Lennox Square Mall Atlanta (15,500 sq foot) slated for spring 2015. Fall 2013 saw a significant development in the Topshop and Topman partnership with Nordstrom, with several key openings. Topshop now has presence within 42 Nordstrom stores, and Topman 49 including suits and smart mats, plus presence on the Nordstrom.com website. Discussions continue to build this partnership further over the coming months, with the plan being to extend Topshop to 52 stores, and Topman to 55 this Spring. Further international franchise expansion of the Topshop and Topman brands continues apace – with 80 key openings in 13 countries in 2013 including Australia, Brazil and Hong Kong, whilst over the next 6 months a further 15 stores in eight countries are planned including Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.
