TRAID appoints Marmalade PR for Traidremade launch

Fashion re-use charity TRAID has appointed Marmalade PR to handle all press and publicity for the launch of Traidremade’s new summer collection in collaboration with designer Alex Noble. Founded in 2002, Traidremade launched to create sustainable clothes using up-cycling and customisation techniques to stop clothes from being thrown away. Today, Traidremade uses pre and post-consumer textile waste and surplus, from luxury brands, and collaborates with designers to create clothes sustainably in the UK. The new limited edition collection Rights Of Massive, designed by Alex Noble, consists of a 14-piece capsule range for men and women. Heavily influenced by 1980’s streetwear like Buffalo, Zoot and androgynous Punk, the designs have taken shape inspired by muses Sade, Neneh Cherry, Willy Cartier and Kid ‘n’ Play. The collection includes bleached corduroy bomber jackets, paneled dungarees, boy-shorts, tartan trench suits, oversized shirts, box tees and hats. All profits go to a TRAID funded project in Bangladesh providing day care, nutritious food and education for 140 children of garment workers. The collection is due to launch in a central London pop-up location in June.
