UK Fashion & Textile Awards shortlist revealed
The shortlist for the UK Fashion & Textile Awards has been announced. An acclaimed panel of judges, including designers Henry Holland and Patrick Grant; journalists Colin McDowell, Gianluca Longo, Melanie Rickey and Bel Jacobs; Heather Melville of RBS Group Fashion Buying Director at Harvey Nichols Anita Barr and Lou Stoppard of SHOWstudio have chosen the shortlist for this year’s UK Fashion & Textile Awards. The shortlist includes: Rise Newcomer Award: Alex Mullins, Alice Made This, Finlay & Co, Hamilton & Hare and L’Estrange London; Textile Business Award: Dashing Tweeds, Insley & Nash and Joshua Ellis & Co Ltd; Accessories Award: Mi-Pac, Noel Stewart Millinery and Piers Atkinson; Designer Business Award: Erdem, Imogen Belfield and Teatum Jones; Menswear Award: Blood Brother, Drake’s and Timothy Everest; Womenswear Award: Huishan Zhang, Karl Donoghue and Teatum Jones; Lingerie Award: Asceno by Beautiful Bottoms, Olivia von Halle and Pistol Panties. In addition, the NatWest Outstanding Achievement Award will also be presented on the night, honouring the long-standing achievements of an individual in the fashion and textiles industries. Similarly the Retailer Award, which recognises an influential retailer, and their support of the UK fashion and textile industry. Taking place in London on May 21, the annual NatWest Awards will be hosted by model and presenter Jack Guinness and model Amber Le Bon.
