This week sees the launch of womenswear brand Anya Marokko. Specialising in a range of silk blouses for everyday wear, the brand uses draping at the core of the design process with silk to ensure that designs follow the natural movement of the body. With attention to detail in the cut and finishing of the garments, the design experiments with shapes, textures and print. Drawing inspiration from the 1930s, the design reinterprets traditional detailing of the era in a contemporary silhouette. Swathes of silk around the body create a sculptural drape, while the abstract black and white print accentuates the art deco aesthetic. Garments are made from silk printed in Italy, and designed and manufactured in London.
